NEW CONSTRUCTION: FLATIRON BUILDING

New Construction: Flatiron Building

Emeryville, California I 3,900 SF

Design of a build‑to‑suit restaurant and pub on a narrow triangular site at the intersection of San Pablo Avenue, MacArthur Boulevard, and Adeline Street. Developed through a public/private partnership with the Emeryville Redevelopment Agency, the project replaced a former liquor store with a distinctive corner landmark.

The building massing and cornice geometry accentuate the triangular site and orient toward the primary intersection. Exterior materials include smooth lap siding, steel canopies, and anodized aluminum storefront and clerestory systems. Interior spaces feature double‑height dining and bar areas with epoxy flooring over sealed concrete, incorporating embedded motorcycle components as a visual homage to motorcycle culture.
